科学警察研究所の「第九」では、特殊なMRI捜査で死者の記憶を映像化し、事件解決に挑む。室長・薪剛（板垣李光人さん）は鋭い洞察力を持つが、親友の鈴木克洋（中島裕翔さん）を亡くした過去を抱える。そんな薪の前に、鈴木にそっくりな新米捜査員・青木（中島裕翔さん(二役)）が配属される。二人は死者の想いや秘密を目の当たりにしながらも葛藤しつつ、難事件に立ち向かい、バディとして成長していく。 二人のかけがえのない“絆”が胸を打つ極上のヒューマンサスペンス。

The “Ninth” at the National Research Institute of Police Science uses special MRI investigations to visualize the memories of the dead and solve cases. The head of the room, Tsuyoshi Moku (Itagaki Li Mitsuhito), has a keen insight, but he has a history of losing his best friend Katsuhiro Suzuki (Nakajima Yusho). Aoki (played by Yusho Nakajima), a rookie investigator who looks exactly like Suzuki, is assigned to his case. The two face difficult cases and grow as buddies as they struggle with the feelings and secrets of the dead. The irreplaceable “bond” between the two men is the heartbreaking essence of this exquisite human suspense film.
